Lighthouse Keepers may require you to:

• Meet children at Registration each day and escort them safely to their age group

• Accompany children around the site to each activity

• Help children with the activities and join in where necessary

• Eat lunch with the children

• Escort them to the toilet where necessary

• Be attentive to the children and ensure they are having fun

Lamplighters often have a particular role in the Lighthouse teaching sessions, using materials and taking part in activities planned by the Age Group Leader to explore the teaching theme. 

This is a good opportunity to get to know the children and build relationships with them.

The minimum age to be a Lamplighter is 12, and you must have finished Year 7 at senior school
